The Tranquil Charles
I arrived at the Frances Appleton Bridge yesterday overlooking the Charles River in the late afternoon. It was very sunny, and there were dozens of sailboats. In just about an hour the clouds had moved in, the boats were gone, and the temperature seemed much colder.
Just before leaving I captured this shot of a very peaceful and tranquil Charles. The clouds had completely covered the sun and a long exposure helped smooth the water. We have a whole new view now thanks to the Appleton Bridge.
